Manufacturing Engineer(s) – Aerospace Fluid Systems

Description:
Fast paced Aerospace Fluid Metering Systems customer is looking for multiple Manufacturing Engineers with experience in manufacturing processing and machine programming. Individual should be familiar with machining of aluminum and steel with regards to the aerospace industry. Ideal candidate will have a strong background in Six Sigma and Lean processes. Individual needs to be detail oriented, work well with others, handle and set multiple priorities, and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

* Provides technical solutions.
* Develops alternate manufacturing processes.
* Initiates, justifies, and implements new capital equipment purchases.
* Creates cell layouts and process improvement initiatives.
* Uses Six Sigma and lean tools to improve processes.
* Reviews and approves design/detail of new designs for producibility.
* Represents the company with our customers.
* Routinely updates management on status of projects.
* Leads a team on projects.
* Supports the manufacturing floor for any process related questions.
* Creates and maintains process documentation Implement engineering changes.
* Process and update work order documentation.
* Adhere to applicable Quality System requirements.

Required Software:
* ME10 or Pro-E
* Microsoft Office Tools; Project
* Experience with E-Sprit a plus

Additional Qualifications:

* Solid Six Sigma knowledge.
* Advanced understanding of Root Cause Analysis.
* Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
* Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability.

Required Experience:

* 5-10 years of manufacturing engineering or manufacturing specialist experience; in the aerospace environment a plus.
* Machining with aluminum and steel materials.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Engineering discipline or other combinations of education, training or experience in lieu of degree.
