Flow and Thermal Analyst

Description:
Qualified candidates will apply heat transfer and fluid flow analysis and mechanical design skills to product development. The main responsibilities are:

- Perform compressible flow CFD analysis using ANSYS CFX on steam turbine components

- Develop conceptual designs of thermal-fluid systems that employ innovative approaches and technologies

- Conduct prototype tests and test data analysis

- Apply practical experience and professional insight to determine the optimal solution based on performance, risk, cost, etc.

- Work independently on thermal/fluid design projects and provide support for manufacturers and customers

Skill required: In-depth understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid flow. Hand-on experience in ANSYS CFX and/or other CFD packages. BS in mechanical engineering (MS preferred).
